CHAP. 706.— An Act Authorizing an appropriation of $2,500 for the erection of an appropriate tablet or marker at Providence, Rhode Island, to commemorate the landing of Roger Williams in the State of Rhode Island. That the sum of $2,600, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby authorized to lie appropriated, to be expended under the direction of the Secretary of War, in the erection of an appropriate tablet or marker, at or near the spot in the present city of Providence, Rhode Island, where Roger Williams first landed in said State of Rhode Island, in commemoration of said historic event.
