CHAP. 705.— An Act For the relief of Immaculate Carlino, widow of Alexander Carlino.June 28, 1926.[[S. 1160](/us/bill/69/s/1160).][[Private, No. 225](/us/pvtl/69/225).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and Mouse of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Immaculato Carlino.Payment to, for death of husband. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated and in full settlement against the Government, to Immaculate Carlino, widow of Alexander Carlino, the sum of $5,000 as compensation for the death of her husband, who died as a result of injuries received when he was struck by a truck operated by an employee of*Provisos*.Limitation on attorney’s fees. the Bureau of War Risk Insurance: *Provided*, That no part of the1622 amount herein appropriated in excess of $500 shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys, on account of services rendered or advances made in connection with Collecting greater amount unlawful.said claim: *Provided further*, That it shall be unlawful for any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys, to exact, collect, withhold, or receive any sum or sums which in the aggregate exceed $500 on account of services rendered or advances made in connection with Penalty for violation.said claim, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved, June 28, 1926.
