CHAP. 684.— An Act For the relief of Captain Edward T. Hartmann, United States Army, and others.June 25, 1926.[[S. 1631](/us/bill/69/s/1631).][[Private, No. 218](/us/pvtl/69/218).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Captain Edward T. Hartmann, Army, and others. That the Secretary1619 of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, directed to pay to CaptainReimbursement to, for loss of personal property. Edward T.
Hartmann, the sum $272.50; Captain Frederick G. Lawton, the sum of $1,400; Captain Frank B. Watson, the slim of $1,500; and Captain James Ronayne, United States Army, the sum of $1,658, which sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary, are hereby appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, said sums to be payment in full for all losses of personal property incurred by them by reason of the sinking of the United States transport Meade in the harbor of Ponce, Porto Rico, on or about May 16, 1899: *Provided*, That the accounting*Proviso*.Conditions. officer of the Treasury shall require a schedule and affidavit from each, such schedule to be approved by the Secretary of War.
