CHAP. 620.— An Act Granting the consent of Congress for the construction of a bridge across that part of the Mississippi River known as Devils Chute, between Picayune Island and Devils Island, Alexander County, Illinois.June 18, 1926.[[H. R. 12203](/us/bill/69/hr/12203).][[Public, No. 402](/us/69/pl/402).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Mississippi River.Ernest Caldwell may bridge Devils Chute in, between Picayune and Devils Islands, Ill.
That the consent of Congress be, and is hereby, granted to Ernest Caldwell, his heirs, legal representatives, and assigns to construct, maintain, and 752operate a free highway bridge and approaches thereto across that £art of the Mississippi River lying between Picayune Island and Devils Island, known as Devils Chute, Alexander County, Illinois, at a point suitable to the interests of navigation and in accordance with the provisions of the Act entitled “An Act to regulate the constructionConstruction.Vol. 34, p. 84. of bridges over navigable waters,” approved March 23, 1906.
Sec. 2. The right to sell, assign, transfer, and mortgage all theRight to sell, etc. conferred. rights, powers, and privileges conferred by this Act is hereby granted to Ernest Caldwell, his heirs, legal representatives, and assigns, and to any party to whom such rights, powers, and privileges may be sold, assigned, or transferred, or who shall acquire the same by mortgage foreclosure or otherwise, is hereby authorized to exercise the same as fully as if conferred herein directly upon such party.
Sec. 3. The right to alter, amend, or repeal this Act is herebyAmendment. expressly reserved. Approved, June 18, 1926.
