CHAP. 517.— An Act Conferring jurisdiction upon the Court of Claims to hear and determine the claim of Mrs. Patrick H. Bodkin. March 4, 1927. [[S. 1661](/us/bill/69/s/1661).] [[Private, No. 529](/us/pvtl/69/529).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Mrs. Patrick H. Bodkin. Claim of, for reimbursements, referred to Court of Claims. That within six months from the date of the passage of this Act a petition may be filed with the Court of Claims by or on behalf of Mrs.
Patrick H. Bodkin, of Blythe, Riverside County, California, for a hearing of a claim for reimbursement for the value of the following described land, exclusive of improvements, as of February 28, 1921, to wit, that certain quarter section of land described as northeast quarter section 11, township 7 south, range 22 east, San Bernardino meridian, in the State of California, for which land her husband, Patrick H. Bodkin, deceased, had been issued a patent, and which she now holds as trustee for William B.
Edwards in accordance with the decision of the United States Supreme Court in the case of Bodkin against Edwards (Two hundred and fifty-fifth United States, page 221), and the Court of Claims is given jurisdiction to hear and determine such claim: *Provided*, That in considering the case the*Proviso*.Deductions to be made. Court of Claims shall determine the value of the land in question at the date of judgment by the court adverse to Patrick H. Bodkin; also determine the value of the soldier�s additional script and deduct the latter from any awards made to the claimant.
