CHAP. 5.— An Act To amend section 8 of the Act approved March 1, 1911 (Thirty-sixth Statutes, page 961), entitled “An Act to enable any State to cooperate with any other State or States, or with the United States, for the protection of the watersheds of navigable streams and to appoint a commission for the acquisition of lands for the purpose of conserving the navigability of navigable rivers.”December 11, 1926.[[H. R. 9039](/us/bill/69/hr/9039).][[Public, No. 527](/us/pl/69/527).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and, House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Forest conservation.Vol. 36, p. 962, amended.
That the Act approved March 1, 1911 (Thirty-sixth Statutes, page 961), is hereby amended by adding to section 8 thereof the following language: " *Provided*, That in condemnation proceedings, heretofore or hereafterPayment of condemnation decree vesting title, authorized. prosecuted, for the acquisition of lands under this Act, in which a decree is entered vesting title thereto in the United States upon payment of the award into the registry of the court, the Secretary of Agriculture is authorized to make such payment when advised by the Attorney General that the proceedings and the decree are regular.”" Approved, December 11, 1926.
