CHAP. 498.— An Act Granting certain lands to the city of Kaysville, Utah, to protect the watershed of the water-supply system of said city.June 8, 1926.[[S. 674](/us/bill/69/s/674).][[Public, No. 364](/us/pl/69/364).] *Be it enacted by the /Senate and, House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That, uponPublic Lands.Granted to Kaysville, Utah, for protecting water supply. payment of $1.25 per acre, there is hereby granted to the city of Kaysville, Utah, and the Secretary of the Interior is hereby authorized and directed to issue patent to the city of Kaysville, Utah, for certain public lands for the protection of the watershed furnishing 708 Description.the water for said city, the lands being described as follows:
The southeast quarter of the northeast quarter and the south half of section 20; the west half of the northeast quarter, the west half of the southeast quarter, and the west half of section 28; the east half, the east half of the west half and lots 1, 2, and 3 of section 30, all in township 4 north of range 1 east, Salt Lake meridian, and containing approximately one thousand four hundred and forty acres, more or less. Sec. 2.Valid rights not affected. The conveyance hereby authorized shall not include any lands which at the date of the issuance of patent shall be covered by a valid existing bona fide right or claim initiated under the laws of *Provisos*.Mineral deposits reserved.the United States: *Provided*, That there shall be reserved to the United States all oil, coal, and other mineral deposits that may be found on the lands so granted and the right to prospect for, mine, Reversion for non-user.and remove the same: *Provided further*, That said city shall not have the right to sell or convey the land herein granted, or any part thereof, or to devote the same to any other purpose than as herein-before described; and if the said land shall not be used for such municipal purpose the same, or such parts thereof not so used, shall revert to the United States.
The conditions and reservations herein provided for shall be expressed in the patent. Approved, June 8, 1926.
