CHAP. 493.— An Act To authorize and empower the Secretary of the Treasury to accept a corrective deed to certain real estate in the city of New York for the use of the new post-office building.June 8, 1926.[[H. R. 9869](/us/bill/69/hr/9869).][[Public, No. 54](/us/pl/69/349).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,New York City.Corrective deed of site of post office building at, accepted. That for the purpose of facilitating the use of the new post-office building in the city of New York, which has been constructed upon land respecting which the Pennsylvania, New York and Long Island Railroad Company reserved the use of the subsurface for its station and railway purposes, and so forth, as expressly authorized by the Act Vol. 33, p. 434.entitled “An Act making appropriations for the service of the Post Office Department for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1905, and for other purposes,” approved April 28, 1904 (Thirty-third Statutes at Large, page 434), the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and empowered to accept a corrective deed from the Pennsylvania, Tunnel and Terminal Railroad Company, successor in interest of said Pennsylvania, New York and Long Island Railroad Company, satisfactory to the Secretary of the Treasury, the Postmaster General, and the Attorney General, to Adjustment of rail-road use of the subsurface, etc.define and adjust more specifically conditions respecting the use of the subsurface of said site by the Pennsylvania, Tunnel and Terminal Railroad Company, for its station and railroad purposes, the reservations to be made for light and air, and the details concerning the construction work on the post-office building which may affect the enjoyment of the use of the property by the United States and the said Pennsylvania, Tunnel and Terminal Railroad *Proviso*.Area not affected.Company, for their respective purposes: *Provided, however*, That said corrective deed shall not in any way affect the area of the site heretofore conveyed, and shall be without additional cost to the United States.
