CHAP. 47.— An Act Granting the consent of Congress to the highway commissioner of the town of Elgin, Kane County, Illinois, to construct, maintain, and operate a bridge across the Fox River. March 10, 1926.[[S. 1385.](/us/bill/69/s/1385)][[Public, No. 38](/us/pl/69/38).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the consentFox River.Elgin, Ill., may bridge. of Congress is hereby granted to the highway commissioner of the town of Elgin, situated in the county of Kane and State of Illinois, to construct, maintain, and operate a bridge and approaches thereto across the Fox River at a point suitable to the interests of navigation, in substantially a direct line, connecting State Street on the east side of the river with Main Street on the west side of the river,Construction.Vol. 34, p. 84. in accordance with the provisions of the Act entitled “An Act to regulate the construction of bridges over navigable waters,” approved March 23, 1906.
Sec. 2. The right to alter, amend, or repeal this Act is herebyAmendment. expressly reserved. Approved, March 10, 1926.
