CHAP. 469.— An Act For the relief of J. C. Herbert.March 3, 1927.[[H. R. 5787](/us/bill/69/hr/5787).][[Private, No. 511](/us/pvtl/69/511).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Conyress assembled*, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to J. C, Herbert, Hayesville, North Carolina, the sum of $750 in full settlement for services rendered the Government of the United States in connection with the location of and the establishment of title of the United States to a certain tract of land containing five thousand acres, situated in Clay County, North Carolina, and involved in a suit heretofore pending in the District Court of the United States for the Western District of North Carolina, entitled “ United States of America against the Hiawassee Lumber Company,” said services having been rendered upon the request nnd advice of two successive district attorneys of the United States for said district.
