CHAP. 443.— An Act For the relief of John A. Thornton.March 3, 1927.[[H. R. 10496](/us/bill/69/hr/10496).][[Private, No. 485](/us/pvtl/69/485).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,John A. Thornton.Credit in postal accounts. That the Comptroller General of the United States is authorized and directed to allow credit in the account of John A, Thornton, as postmaster of the Philadelphia post office, in the amount of $385.35.
Such sum represents the amount of a deficit in the account of the said John A. Thornton resulting from the fact that certain war savings certificates which were stolen in 1919 were cashed at such post office, during his tenure of office as postmaster, through no fault or negligence on his part. Approved, March 3, 1927.
