CHAP. 366.— An Act Granting the consent of Congress for the construction of dam or dams in Neches River, Texas.May 22, 1926.[[S. 3768](/us/bill/69/s/3768).][[Public, No. 271](/us/pl/69/271).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Neches River.Dams authorized across, above Beaumont, Tex. That the consent of Congress is hereby granted to the Neches Canal Company, Beaumont Irrigating Company, the city of Beaumont, Texas, and the city of Port Arthur, Texas, or any two or more of them jointly, to construct a dam or dams across the Neches River at points suitable to the interests of navigation above the city of Beaumont, Texas; *Provided*, That the work on such dams shall not be commenced until *Proviso*.Plans to tie approved.the plans therefor have been filed with and approved by the Secretary of War and the Chief of Engineers of the United States Array.
Sec. 2. Amendment. That the right to alter, amend, or repeal this Act is hereby expressly reserved. Approved, May 22, 1926.
