CHAP. 343.— An Act To prohibit the sale of black bass in the District of Columbia. March 3, 1927.[[S. 5266](/us/bill/69/s/5266).][[Public, No. 746](/us/pl/69/746).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United /States of America in Congress assembled*, That the wordDistrict of Columbia. “person ” when used in this Act shall include any company, partnership,“Person” construed. corporation, or association. 1380 Sec. 2. Black bass. It shall be unlawful for any person to offer for sale Sale of, unlawful.or to sell within the District of Columbia, either large-mouth or small-mouth black bass.
Sec. 3. Punishment for violations. Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall, upon conviction thereon, be punished by a fine not exceeding $100, or by imprisonment for a term of not more than three months, or by both such fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court. Sec. 4. Effective immediately. This Act shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval. Approved, March 3, 1927.
