CHAP. 313.— An Act To authorize the Secretary of War to grant easements in and upon public military reservations and other lands under his control.May 17, 1926.[[S. 1482](/us/bill/69/s/1482).][[Public, No. 241](/us/pl/69/241).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Military reservations.Rights of way across, authorized for, gas, etc., pipe lines. That the Secretary of War be, and he is hereby, authorized and empowered, under such terms and conditions as are deemed advisable by him, to grant easements for rights of way over, across, in, and upon public military reservations and other lands under his control, for gas, water, and sewer pipe lines, to any citizen, association, or corporation of *Provisos*.Condition.any State, Territory, or possession of the United States: *Provided*, That such rights of way shall be granted only upon a finding by the Secretary of War that the same will be in the public interest and will not substantially injure the interest of the United States Forfeiture for nonuse, etc.in the property affected thereby: *Provided further*, That all or any part of such rights of way may be annulled and forfeited by the Secretary of War for failure to comply with the terms or conditions of any grant hereunder or for nonuse or for abandonment of rights Annual report of all grants, etc.granted under the authority hereof: *And provided further*, That the Secretary of War shall include in his annual report to the President a full and complete statement of each and all easements granted, which statement shall also include the name and address of the grantee, the purpose of the grant, and the benefits accruing to the United States or to the public therefrom.
Sec. 2. Amendment.That the right to alter, amend, or repeal this Act is hereby expressly reserved. Approved, May 17, 1926.
