CHAP. 296.— An Act Authorizing certain officers of the United States Navy to accept from the Republic of Chile the order Al Mérito.March 2, 1927.[[S. 3464](/us/bill/69/s/3464).][[Private, No. 429](/us/pvtl/69/429).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Chile.Designated officers of Navy may accept the order “Al Mérito” from. That the following-named officers of the United States Navy be, and they are hereby, authorized to accept from the Republic of Chile the order Al Mérito, of the class hereinafter respectively designated, conferred on them by said Republic in evidence of its appreciation and good will upon the visit, in the year 1921, to that country of the Pacific Fleet, the said officers being then and there with said fleet and holding, respectively, the rank hereinafter indicated, to wit:
Admiral Hugh. Rodman, first class; Vice Admiral Clarence S. Williams, first class; Rear Admiral J. L. Jayne, first class; Rear Admiral J. S. McKean, first class; Captain C. L. Hussey, first class; Captain S. E. Moses, first class; Captain W. V. Pratt, first class; Captain T. W, Leutze, first class; Captain E. L. Bennett, first class; Commander W. F. Halsey, junior, first class; Lieutenant Commander H. B. Mecleary, first class; Lieutenant Commander D. C. Godwin, first class; Lieutenant C.
W. A. Campbell, second class; Lieutenant J. B. Reinburg, junior, second class; and Lieutenant J. L. McCrea, second class. Approved, March 2, 1927.
