CHAP. 220.— An Act To amend the Code of Law for the District of Columbia in relation to the qualifications of jurors.February 26, 1927.[[H. R. 5823](/us/bill/69/hr/5823).][[Public, No. 658](/us/pl/69/658).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,District of Columbia Code.Vol. 31, p. 1223, amended. That the Code of Law for the District of Columbia be amended by adding a new section to rend as follows: "“Sec. 215a.
Hereafter no person shall be disqualified for serviceJury service.No disqualification by reason of sex. as a juror or jury commissioner by reason of sex but the provisions of law relating to the qualifications of jurors and exemptions from jury duty shall in all cases apply to women as well as to men: *Provided*, That such service shall not be compulsory on any woman.”*Proviso*.Not compulsory on women." Approved, February 26, 1927.
