CHAP. 215.— An Act For the relief of Ocean Steamship Company, Limited, a British corporation.May 1, 1926.[[S. 2368](/us/bill/69/s/2368).][[Private, No. 26](/us/pvtl/69/26).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Ocean Steamship Company (Limited).May bring suit for collision damages to steamship “Aldnous” in district court. That the claim of the Ocean Steamship Company (Limited), a British corporation, owner of the steamship Alcinous, against the United States for damages alleged to have been caused by collision between said steamship Alcinous and the United States transport Artemis, in or near the harbor of New York on December 3, 1917, may be deter-mined in a suit to be brought by said claimant against the United States in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, sitting as a court of admiralty and acting under the rules governing such court in admiralty cases, and that said courtjurisdiction of court. shall have jurisdiction to hear and determine said suit and to enter a judgment or decree for the amount of such damages, and costs, if any, as shall be found due from the United States to the said Ocean Steamship Company (Limited) by reason of said collision, upon the same principles and under the same measures of liability as in like cases between private parties, and with the same rights of appeal: *Provided*, That such notice of the suit shall be given to the Attorney*Provisos*.Notice, etc., to Attorney General General of the United States as may be provided by order of the said court, and upon such notice it shall be the duty of the Attorney General to cause the United States attorney in such district to appear and defend for the United States: *Provided further*, That such suitCommencement of suit. shall be begun within four months of the date of the approval of this Act.
