CHAP. 143.— Joint Resolution Authorizing the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago to enter into contracts for the erection of a building for its branch establishment in the city of Detroit, Michigan.April 14, 1926. [[S. J. Res., 61](/us/bill/69/sjres/61).] [[Pub, Res., No. 15](/us/bill/69/pubres/15).] Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.Erection of building for Detroit, Mich., branch authorized.
That the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago be, and it is hereby, authorized to enter into contracts for the erection of a building for its Detroit branch on the site now owned, provided the total amount expended in the erection of said building, exclusive of the cost of the vaults, permanent equipment, furnishings, and fixtures, shall not exceed the sum of $600,000; *Provided, however*, That the character and type of building*Proviso*.Subject to approval of Board. to be erected, the amount actually to be expended in the construction of said building, and the amount actually to be expended for the vaults, permanent equipment, furnishings, and fixtures for said building shall be subject to the approval of the Federal Reserve Board.
