CHAP. 142.— An Act To authorize the Secretary of the Interior to purchase certain land in California to be added to the Cahuilla Indian Reservation and authorizing an appropriation of funds therefor.April 14, 1926. [[H. R. 8184](/us/bill/69/hr/8184).] [[Public, No. 121](/us/pl/69/121).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Cahuilla Indian Reservation, Calif.Land to be bought adjacent to. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized to purchase a certain tract of land containing approximately twenty acres situated in the southeast quarter of section 5, township 8 south, range 3 east of San Bernardino meridian, in California, adjacent to the Cahuilla *Provisos*.Added to Reservation.Indian Reservation, the legal description and area of said tract to be accurately determined: *Provided*, That said land when purchased shall be added to and become a part of the Cahuilla Indian Amount authorized.*Post*, p. 855.Reservation: *Provided further*, That the sum of $2,000 is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to cover the purchase price of the land.
