CHAP. 133.— An Act To extend the time for the construction of a bridge across the Wabash River at the city of Vincennes, Knox County, Indiana.April 13, 1926. [[S. 1809](/us/bill/69/s/1809).] [[Public, No. 116](/us/pl/69/116).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Confess assembled*,Wabash River.Time extended for bridging, by Illinois and Indiana, at Vincennes, Ind.Vol. 43, p. 935, amended. That the times for commencing and completing the construction of a bridge authorized by Act or Congress approved February 13, 1925, to be built by the State of Illinois and the State of Indiana across the Wabash River from a point in the city of Vincennes, Knox County, Indiana, to a point in Lawrence County, Illinois, are hereby extended one and three years, respectively, from the date of approval hereof, and subject to the conditions and limitations contained in this Act.
The construction of such bridge shall not be commenced, nor shallApproval of traffic capacity required. any alteration in such bridge be made either before or after its completion, until plans and specifications for such construction or alteration have, been submitted to the Secretary of War and the Chief of Engineers and approved by them as being adequate from 250the standpoint of the volume and weight of traffic which will pass over it. Sec. 2. Tolls authorized.The said States of Illinois and Indiana are hereby Vol. 34, p. 85.authorized to fix and charge tolls for transit over such bridge and the rates so fixed shall be the legal rates until changed by the Secretary of War under the authority contained in such Act of March 23, 1906.
Sec. 3. Amendment.The right to alter, amend, or repeal this Act is hereby expressly reserved. Approved, April 13, 1926.
