CHAP. 130.— An Act For the promotion of rifle practice throughout the United States. February 14, 1927.[[[H. R. 15604](/us/bill/69/hr/15604).][Public, No. 612](/us/pl/69/612).] *Be it it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That for the purposeRifle practice.Annual authorization for promotion of, by national trophy, prizes, etc. of furnishing a national trophy and medals and other prizes to be provided and contested for annually, under such regulations as may be prescribed by the Secretary of War, said contest to be open to the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and the National Guard or Organized Militia of the several States, Territories, and the District of Columbia, members of rifle clubs, and civilians, and for the cost of trophy, prizes, and medals herein provided for, and for the promotion of rifle practice throughout the United States, including the reimbursement of necessary expense of members of the NationalReimbursing Board for Promotion of Rifle Practice.
Board for the Promotion of Rifle Practice to be expended for the purpose hereinbefore prescribed, under the direction of the Secretary of War, the sum of $7,500 is hereby authorized to be appropriated annually: *Provided*, That no competitor shall be entitled to*Proviso*.Limitation commutation of rations, etc. commutation of rations in excess of $1.50 per day, and when meals are furnished no greater expense than that sum per man per day for the period the contest is in progress.
