CHAP. 122.— An Act Authorizing the Secretary of War to convey certain portions of the military reservation of Fort Sam Houston, Texas, to the city of San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas, for street purposes.April 13, 1926. R. 3996](/us/bill/69/hr/3996).] [[Public, No. 105](/us/pl/69/105).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Fort Sam Houston, Tex.Part of reservation of, conveyed to San Antonio for street purposes.
That the Secretary of War be, and he is hereby, authorized to convey to the city of San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas, by quitclaim deed, approximately fifty-two thousand and fifty-four square feet of the Fort Sam Houston, Texas, military reservation for the purpose of making a public street out of Army Boulevard at or near the intersection of Broadway (formerly River Avenue) in the said city of San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas, more particularly described as follows: Description.“Beginning at a United States monument in the east property line of Broadway (formerly River Avenue), same being the northwest corner of city block numbered 3856; thence north eighty-nine degrees fifty-eight minutes east, a distance of one thousand five hundred and thirty-one and five-tenths feet to a United States monument in the west line of United States Government reservation; thence north naught degree two minutes west, a distance of thirty-four feet to a United States monument; thence south eighty-nine degrees fifty-eight minutes west, a distance of one thousand two hundred and 245eighty-one and five-tenths feet to a United States monument; thence north naught degree two minutes west-, a distance of twenty-two feet to a United States monument; thence south eighty-nine degrees fifty-eight minutes west, a distance of two hundred and thirty-two and one-tenth feet to a United States monument in the east line of Broadway (formerly River Avenue); thence south seventeen degrees forty-two minutes west, a distance of fifty-eight and eight-tenths feet, to the place of beginning,” subject to such conditions, restrictions,Conditions. and reservations as the Secretary of War may impose for the protection of the reservation and subject to a perpetual right of way over said land for the uses of any department of the Government of the United States.
