CHAP. 558.— Joint Resolution To amend section 10 of the Act entitled “An Act to establish the upper Mississippi River wild life and fish refuge” March 4, 1925.[[S. J. Res. 179](/us/bill/68/sjres/179).][[Pub. Res., No. 70](/us/bill/68/pubres/70).] Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,Upper Mississippi River fish refuge, etc.*Ante*, p. 652, amended. That section 10 of the Act entitled “An Act to establish the upper Mississippi River wild life and fish refuge,” approved June 7, 1924 (Forty-third Restriction stricken out.Statutes at Large, page 650) , be, and the same hereby is, amended by striking out that part of said section which reads:
“but no money shall be available for the acquisition of any area until the Secretary of Agriculture has ascertained that all of the areas to be acquired under this Act will be acquired within the amounts appropriated or authorized to be appropriated therefor and at an average price not in excess of $5 per acre, and not in excess of the average selling price, during the years 1921, 1922, and 1923, of *Proviso.*Purchase price limited.comparable lands within the vicinity of such areas,” and by substituting in lieu thereof the following:
“*Provided*, That the Secretary of Agriculture shall not pay for any land or land and water a price which when added to the price of land or land and water theretofore purchased, shall exceed an average cost of $5 per acre.” Approved, March 4, 1925.
