CHAP. 542.— An Act For the relief of the New York Shipbuilding Corporation for losses incurred by reason of Government orders in the construction of battleship No. 42. March 4, 1925.[[H. R. 9969](/us/bill/68/hr/9969).] [[Public, No. 617](/us/pl/68/617).] *Be it enacted by the Seriate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * That the SecretaryNew York Ship-building Corporation.Secretary of Navy to ascertain and determine losses to, in building Battleship No. 42. of the Navy be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to ascertain and determine the amount of loss caused to the New York Shipbuilding Corporation in the performance of the fixed price contract for the construction of battleship No. 42, dated November 9, 1914, on account of increases in wages in so far as they were made retroactive paid by said corporation to its employees in accordance with the decisions and awards of the Shipbuilding Labor Adjustment Board and on account of payments to employees made by said corporation in excess of regular time rates for overtime work under said contract in accordance with the direction, authorization, and approval of Government authority, and in so far as the amount or amounts of such retroactive wage increases and overtime payments so ascertained and determined shall increase the cost of such battleship No. 42 over the limit of cost thereof heretofore authorized asLimit of cost increased. to such vessel such limit of cost is hereby increased accordingly.
