CHAP. 39.— Joint Resolution Directing the Secretary of the Interior to institute proceedings touching sections 16 and 36, township 30 south, range 23 east, Mount Diablo meridian. Res., No. 6](/us/bill/68/pubres/6).] Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the SecretaryNaval oil reserves, Calif.Proceedings directed to establish title of United States to.*Ante*, p. 5. of the Interior be, and he hereby is, directed forthwith to institute proceedings to assert and establish the title of the United States to sections 16 and 36, township 30 south, range 23 east, Mount Diablo meridian, within the exterior limits of naval reserve numbered 1 in the State of California, and the President of the United States is hereby authorized and directed to employ special counselSpecial counsel, etc., authorized. to prosecute such proceedings and any suit or suits ancillary thereto or necessary or desirable to arrest the exhaustion of the oil within said sections 16 and 36 pending such proceedings.
