CHAP. 375.— Joint Resolution To provide for the free transmission through the mails of certain publications for the blind June 7, 1924.[[S. J. Res. 115](/us/bill/68/sjres/115).][[Pub. Res., No. 33](/us/68/pubres/33).] Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,Postal service.Bible in raised characters for the blind to be transmitted free, if sent without charge. That volumes of the Holy Scriptures, or any part thereof, in raised characters for the use of the blind, whether prepared by hand or printed, which do not contain advertisements,
(a)when furnished by an organization, institution, or association not conducted for private profit, to a blind person without charge, shall be transmitted in the United States mails free of postage;
(b)when furnished by an organization, institution, or association not conducted for private profit to a blind If at cost price, at one cent a pound.person at a price not greater than the cost price thereof, shall be transmitted in the United States mails at the postage rate of 1 cent for each pound or fraction thereof; under such regulations as the Postmaster General may prescribe.
