CHAP. 341.— An Act To amend section 5 of the Trade Mark Act of 1905, as amended, relative to the unauthorized use of portraits. (b)of section 5 of the Act entitled “An Act to authorize the registration of trade-marks used in commerce with foreign nations or among the several States or with Indian tribes, and to protect the same,” approved February 20, 1905, as amended, is amended to read as follows: “*Provided further*, That noPortraits of living persons without consent. portrait of a living individual may be registered as a trade-mark except by the consent of such individual, evidenced by an instrument in writing, nor may the portrait of any deceased President ofOf deceased President during life of widow, without her consent. the United States be registered during the life of his widow, if any, except by the consent of the widow evidenced in such manner.” Approved, June 7, 1924.
