CHAP. 323.— An Act Authorizing the Secretary of the Interior to issue patent to the city of Redlands, California, for certain lands, and for other purposes. February 25, 1925.[[H. R. 166](/us/bill/68/hr/166).][[Public, No. 471](/us/pl/68/471).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * That the SecretaryPublic lands. of the Interior be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to issue980Granted to Redlands, Calif., for water conservation. patent to the city of Redlands (a duly organized and existing municipal corporation of the State of California, a body corporate and politic, with full power to hold and own real estate), of California,Location. for the following tract of public land, to wit:
The south half of the southeast quarter of section 14, township 1 south, range 2 west, San Bernardino base and meridian, in the State of California, upon payment therefor to the Secretary of the Interior for the Government of the United States the full sum of $1.25 per acre, which patent shall be issued upon the express condition that the city of Redlands shall use said tract of land for the purpose of water conservation*Provisos*.Reversion for non-user. for public benefit: *Provided*, That whenever said lands cease to be used by said city for said purposes or are attempted to be. sold or conveyed, then, in that event, title to said lands and the wholeMineral rights reserved. thereof shall revert to the United States: *Provided further*, That such patent shall contain a reservation to the United States of all gas, oil, coal, and other mineral deposits that may be found in such land, and the right to the use of the land for extracting the same.
