CHAP. 288.— An Act Authorizing preliminary examination and survey of the Caloosahatchee River, in Florida, with a view to the control of floods. February 21, 1925.[[H. R. 10287](/us/bill/68/hr/10287).][[Public, No. 444](/us/pl/68/444).] *Be it enacted, by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * That the SecretaryCaloosahatchee River, Fla.Examination of, for flood control. of War be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to cause preliminary examination to be made of the Caloosahatchee River, in Florida, with a view to the control of the floods in accordance with the provisions of section 3 of “An Act to provide for the controlVol. 39, p. 950. of the floods of the Mississippi River and of the Sacramento River, California, and for other purposes,” approved March 1, 1917.
Sec. 2. The sum of $1,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary,Amount authorized for expenses. is hereby authorized to be expended out of any funds heretofore appropriated for examinations, surveys, and contingencies of rivers and harbors to carry out the provisions of this bill. Approved, February 21, 1925.
