CHAP. 226.— An Act Authorizing issuance of patent to Charles Swanson. May 31, 1924.[[H. R. 1442](/us/bill/68/hr/1442).][[Private, No. 31](/us/pvtl/68/31).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Charles Swanson.Land patent to. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to issue to Charles Swanson, of Gig Harbor, Washington, patent to lots 3 and 4, section 5, township 20 north, range 2 east, Willamette meridian, the same comprising nine and fifty-seven one-hundredths acres, and being part of Gig Harbor abandoned military Condition.reservation, numbered 23 and 24, in the State of Washington, upon presentation by the said Charles Swanson of proof that he has resided upon the land for a period of eight years, and upon payment by him of a sum of money equal to the appraised value thereof as Vol. 39, p 342.fixed under authority of the Act entitled “An Act providing for the sale of certain lands in the State of Washington, and for other purposes,” approved July 3, 1916 (Thirty-ninth Statutes at Large, page 342), but not less than $10 per acre.
