CHAP. 218.— An Act To quiet titles to land in the municipality of Flomaton, State of Alabama. May 31, 1924.[[H. R. 4437](/us/bill/68/hr/4437).][[Public, No. 163](/us/pl/68/163).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * Flomaton, Ala.Title of United States to described lands in, released to equitable owners. That all the right, title, and interest of the United States of America in and to the lands situated in the municipality of Flomaton, State of Alabama, 247being forty acres of land described as southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of section 34, township 1 north, range 8 east, of Saint Stephens meridian, be, and the same are hereby, granted, released, and relinquished by the United States to the equitable owners of the equitable titles thereto and to their respective heirs and assigns forever, as fully and completely in every respect whatever as could be done by patents issued according to law: *Provided*, That the *Proviso*.Only right, etc., of United States relinquished.confirmations granted hereby shall amount only to a relinquishment of any title that the United States has or is supposed to have in and to any of said lands, and shall not be construed to abridge, impair, No valid right impaired.injure, prejudice, or divest in any manner any valid right, title, and interest of any person or body corporate whatever, the true intent of this Act being to concede and abandon all right, title, and interest of the United States to those persons, estates, firms, or corporations who would be the true and lawful owners of said lands under the laws of Alabama, including the laws of prescription, in the absence of said interest, title, and estate of the United States.
