CHAP. 9.— Joint Resolution Authorizing the payment of salaries of officers and employees of Congress for December, 1921, and making an appropriation to supply a deficiency in the appropriation for the contingent fund of the House of Representatives. December 19, 1921.[[H. J. Res. 234](/us/bill/67/hjres/234).][[Pub Res., No. 32](/us/67/pubres/32).] Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,Congressional employees to be paid December, 1921, salaries December 20th.
That the Secretary of the Senate and the Clerk of the House of Representatives are hereby authorized and instructed to pay to the officers and employees of the Senate and House of Representatives, including the Capitol police and the Legislative Drafting Service and employees paid on vouchers under authority of resolutions, their respective salaries for the month of December, 1921, on the 20th day of said month. Sec. 2. House of Representatives.Deficiency appropriation for miscellaneous items, etc.
That there is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $15,000 to supply a deficiency in the appropriation for the contingent expenses of the House of Representatives, fiscal year 1922, namely: For miscellaneous items and expenses of special and select committees, exclusive of salaries and labor unless specifically ordered by the House of Representatives.
