CHAP. 60.— Joint Resolution Authorizing the President to invite foreign nations to take part in an exposition at Portland, Oregon, in 1925. August 10, 1921. [[S. J. Res. 5](/us/bill/67/sjres/5).] [[Pub. Res., No. 13](/us/bill/67/pubres/13).] Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, Portland, Oreg. Foreign nations invited to exposition at, in 1925. That the President of the United States is hereby authorized and requested to invite foreign countries to participate in an exposition to be held in the city of Portland, State of Oregon, in the year 1925, to celebrate the completion of transcontinental and Pacific highways, the centennial of the invention of the electromagnet, and to exemplify the development of *Proviso.* No Government expenses.hydroelectric energy: *Provided*, That the United States Government shall be put to no expense by reason of the extending of the invitation.
