CHAP. 425.— An Act To authorize the President of the United States to appoint Fred H. Gallup major of Field Artillery in the United States Army. September 22, 1922.[[H. R. 6966](/us/bill/67/hr/6966).][[Public, No. 360](/us/67/pl/360).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the President of theArmy. United States, in his discretion, be, and he is hereby, authorized toFred H. Gallup may be appointed major of Field Artillery. appoint, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, Fred H.
Gallup, formerly a captain of Field Artillery, whose nomination as1038major of Field Artillery was confirmed by the Senate in June, 1916, a ma]or of Field Artillery, to take rank at the foot of the list of majors No back pay, etc.of Field Artillery, and that no back pay or allowances shall accrue as a result of the passage of this Act, and there shall be no increase in the total number of majors of Field Artillery now authorized by law by reason of the passage of this Act.
