CHAP. 392.— An Act For the relief of Mrs. E. H. Jackson. September 21, 1922.[[H. R. 8173](/us/bill/67/hr/8173).][[Private, No. 137](/us/pvtl/67/137).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Mrs. E. H. Jackson.Payment to. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, directed to pay to Mrs. E. H. Jackson, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $43, which by her was paid to John J.
Langston, a recruiting sergeant in the United States marine service, for the purpose of defraying the transportation home of her son, and which amount the said sergeant appropriated to his own use, and thereafter deserted, and is now a deserter, there being more than a sufficient amount due by the Government to said sergeant at the time of his desertion to reimburse the said Mrs. E. H. Jackson, but which pay was forfeited to the Government at the time said sergeant deserted. Approved, September 21, 1922.
