CHAP. 390.— An Act For the relief of the Kineo Trust Company. September 21, 1922.[[H. R. 8073](/us/bill/67/hr/8073).][[Private, No. 135](/us/pvtl/67/135).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Secretary of the Kineo Trust Company.Payment to, for lost certificate of Indebtedness.Treasury be, and he hereby is authorized and directed to pay to the Kineo Trust Company, of Dover, Maine, a banking corporation 1716 existing by law, or its assigns, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $5,000 with interest at the rate of per centum per annum from September 15, 1919, to September 15, 1920, the amount of the principal and interest due it as owner of a United States Treasury certificate of indebtedness of series T-10, numbered six thousand seven hundred and sixty-eight, dated September 15, 1919, and maturing September 15, 1920, of which the Kineo Trust Company has established loss from its possession; and shall require the Indemnity bond.Kineo Trust Company to furnish to the Secretary of the Treasury a bond in a penal sum of double the principal amount of the lost United States Treasury certificate and the interest accrued on such obligation, with such security or surety as the Secretary of the Treasury may require to indemnify the United States against any loss from any claim that may subsequently be made upon such lost United States Treasury certificate of indebtedness.
