CHAP. 360.— An Act To authorize the purchase by the city of Medford, Oregon, of certain lands formerly embraced in the grant to the Oregon and California Railroad Company and revested in the United States by the Act approved June 9, 1916. September 21, 1922.[[H. R. 5684](/us/bill/67/hr/5684).][[Public, No. 322](/us/pl/67/322).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Secretary of the Medford, Oreg.Granted lands in revested Oregon-California Railroad grant.Vol. 30, p. 218.Interior shall be, and is hereby, authorized to issue a patent to the city of Medford, Oregon, for the following described lands, being a part of the lands revested in the United States by the Act of Congress enacted June 9, 1916 (Thirty-ninth Statutes, page 218), to wit:
The Description.southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of section twenty-five in township thirty-six south, range two east, and the northeast quarter of the southeast quarter of section thirteen, in township thirty-six south, range one east, of the Willamette meridian, in the State of Oregon; on condition that the said city first shall pay to Payment required.the United States the sum of $2.50 per acre for all of said lands and in addition thereto the appraised price of the timber on all such lands as may be classified as tmiberlands: *Provided*, That there shall be *Proviso*.Mineral deposits reserved.reserved to the United States all oil, coal, and other mineral deposits that may be found in the lands so granted and all necessary use of the lands for extracting the same, and that there shall be reserved to the Use for water power retained.United States, as to the said southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of section twenty-five in township thirty-six south, range two east, or to its permittees or licensees, the right to enter thereon and take and use the same for power purposes, in accordance with the terms and conditions of section 24 of the Federal Water Power Vol. 41, p. 1075.Act of June 10, 1920.
Sec. 2. That the Secretary of the Interior shall prescribe all Regulations to be prescribed.necessary regulations to carry into effect the foregoing provisions of this Act. Approved, September 21, 1922.
