CHAP. 358.— An Act Providing for the construction of a spillway and drainage ditch to lower and maintain the level of Lake Andes, South Dakota. September 21, 1922.[[H. R. 243](/us/bill/67/hr/243).][[Public, No. 320](/us/pl/67/320).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Lake Andes, S. Dak.Spillway, etc., to lower level of, authorized. That the Commissioner of Indian Affairs is hereby authorized and directed to construct a spillway and drainage ditch that will lower and maintain the level of Lake Andes, South Dakota, to four feet above the present Government meander line, as found at the southwest corner of section four, in township ninety-six north of range sixty-five west of the fifth Appropriation authorized.*Post*, p. 1051.principal meridian, in the State of South Dakota; and there is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $50,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, for the construction of said spillway and drainage 991ditch: *Provided*, That any person sustaining loss of property on *Proviso*.No suit for overflow damages allowed after completion.account of the overflow of said Lake Andes, from and after the completion of the spillway and drainage ditch herein provided for, shall be forever barred from bringing suit against the Government of the United States.
