CHAP. 342.— An Act For the relief of Rear Admiral J. S. Carpenter, Supply Corps, United States Navy. September 18, 1922. [[H. R. 3508](/us/bill/67/hr/3508).] [[Private, No. 112](/us/pvtl/67/112).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the accounting officersJ. S. Carpenter. Credit in accounts. of the Treasury Department be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to allow Rear Admiral J. S. Carpenter, Supply Corps, United States Navy, the sum of $168.48, the same being the sum disallowed by said accounting officers in the accounts of said naval officer on account of payments made on or about November 8, 1918, through error, on forged pay receipts, of money due to the following-named men in the amounts set opposite their respective names:
Number 2960, J. F. De Mille, $49.98; number 2369, A. J. Johnson, $35.96; number 3148, J. G. Lee, $40.94; and number 8490, J. J. Murphy, $41.60, for which said Rear Admiral J. S. Carpenter, Supply Corps, United States Navy, was found not to be responsible. Approved, September 18, 1922.
