CHAP. 296.— An Act Relating to the appointment of the Chief of Staff of the Army. August 28, 1922. [[H. R. 11699](/us/bill/67/hr/11699).] [[Public, No. 292](/us/pl/67/292).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Army.Present Deputy Chief of Stall may be appointed Chief of Staff. That, notwithstanding other provisions of law touching eligibility for appointment and service as Chief of Staff, the present Deputy Chief of Staff may be appointed Chief of Staff, and when so appointed shall be eligible to serve as such for a period of four years unless sooner relieved. Approved, August 28, 1922.
