CHAP. 29.— An Act Authorizing the appointment of an additional judge for the district of North Dakota. June 25, 1921.[S. 78.][[Public, No. 24](/us/pl/67/24).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,North Dakota Judicial district.Additional judge authorized for.Vol. 36, p. 1087, amended. That the President of the United States, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, shall appoint an additional judge of the District Court of the United States for the judicial district of the State of North Dakota, who shall possess the same powers, perform the same duties, and receive the 67same compensation and allowance as the present judge of said district, and the judge so appointed shall be held and treated as the senior To act as senior judge.judge and shall exercise such powers and perform such duties in that judicial district as may be incident to seniority.
Sec. 2. That whenever a vacancy shall occur in the office of the Vacancy in office of judge senior in commission not to be filleddistrict judge for the district of North Dakota, by the retirement, disqualification, or death of the judge senior in commission, such vacancy shall not be filled, and thereafter there shall be but one district judge in said district.
