CHAP. 282.— An Act To authorize the Secretary of the Interior to issue patent to the State of Michigan, in trust, of a certain described tract of land to be used as a game refuge. August 24, 1922. [[H. R. 6817](/us/bill/67/hr/6817).] [[Public, No. 283](/us/pl/67/283).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Public lands. Grant to Michigan for a game preserve. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to issue patent Description.to the State of Michigan, in trust, for the following tract of land to be used as a game refuge, to wit:
Lots one and two, section twenty-three, township thirty-nine north, of range six west, containing ninety-nine and eighty-six one-hundredths acres; also fractional section twenty-four, township thirty-nine north, of range six west, containing fifteen and ninety one-hundredths acres, such lands *Provisos*. Mineral rights reserved.being located in the county of Emmet, State of Michigan: *Provided*,That there shall be reserved to the United States all oil, coal, or other mineral deposits found in the land, and the right to prospect Subject to valid rights, etc.for, mine, and remove the same: *Provided further*,That this grant shall be subject to all prior valid existing rights under the land laws of the United States, and that if the grantee shall fail to use the land as a game refuge or shall devote the same to other uses the title thereto shall revert to the United States.
