CHAP. 239.— An Act For the relief of John B. Elliott. June 24, 1922. [[S. 1784](/us/bill/67/s/1784).] [[Private, No. 77](/us/pvtl/67/77).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, John B. Elliott. Payment to. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to John B. Elliott, whose position as collector of customs of collection district numbered twenty-seven (formerly known as the district of southern California), was inadvertently abolished under the provisions of the Executive order of February 2, 1920, the salary he would have received as collector of customs of the newly created district numbered twenty-seven (known as the district of Los Angeles) from February 2, 1920, to April 5, 1920, inclusive, had not his position been so abolished.
