CHAP. 183.— An Act To amend section 1 of an Act approved January 11, 1922, entitled “An Act to permit the city of Chicago to acquire real estate of the United States of America.” March 2, 1923.[[H. R. 11579](/us/bill/67/hr/11579).][[Public, No. 470](/us/bill/67/pl/470).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That section 1 ofChicago, Ill.*Ante*, p. 357, amended. the Act approved January 11, 1922, entitled “An Act to permit the city of Chicago to acquire real estate of the United States of America,” is hereby amended to read as follows:
" “Section 1. That in consideration of the payment by the cityCondemnation of designated Government real estate in, for street purposes. of Chicago to the United States of America of the just compensation and damages for real estate hereinafter described, as ascertained by a jury in proceedings to condemn real estate of the United States of America, the city of Chicago is hereby authorized to acquire for street purposes, by condemnation proceedings, all interest of the United States of America in and to the following described real estate, viz:
“The west seventeen feet, or any part thereof, of the east fiftyDescription modified. feet (except the south one hundred and forty-nine feet and except the north thirty-three feet) of the south quarter of the east half of the northeast quarter of section thirty, township thirty-eight north, range fourteen east of the third principal meridian, situated in the city of Chicago, county of Cook, and State of Illinois.” " Approved, March 2, 1923.
