CHAP. 181.— An Act To grant certain lands to the city of Canon City, Colorado, for a public park. March 2, 1923.[[H. R. 7053](/us/bill/67/hr/7053).][[Public, No. 468](/us/bill/67/pl/468).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That upon the paymentPublic lands.Granted Canon City, Colo., for public park.Description. of $1.25 per acre, the Secretary of the Interior be, and ne is hereby, authorized and directed to convey to the city of Canon City, in the State of Colorado, the south half of the southwest quarter, the northwest quarter of the southwest quarter of section five; the 1428southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of section six; the north half of the northeast quarter of section seven; the northeast quarter of the southeast quarter, and the north half of section eight, town-ship seventeen south, range seventy west, sixth principal meridian; to have and to hola said lands for use as a public park: *Provisos*.Subject to prior legal rights.*Provided,* That the grant hereby made is, and the patent issued thereunder shall be, subject to all legal rights heretofore acquired by any person or persons in or to the above-described premises or any part thereof, and now existing under and by virtue of the Mineral deposits reserved.laws of the United States: *Provided further,* That there shall be reserved to the United States all coal, oil, or other mineral deposits that may be found in the lands so granted and all necessary use Reversion for non-user.of the lands for extracting the same: *And provided further,* That the lands hereby authorized to be conveyed, as hereinbefore set forth, and all portions thereof shall be held and used by or for the said grantee for the purpose herein specified, and if the lands shall cease to be so used for a period of three years at any one time, they shall revert to the United States, and this condition shall be expressed in the patent to be issued under the terms of this Act.
