CHAP. 161.— An Act For the relief of persons suffering damage by reason of proceedings for the condemnation of land for Camp Benning, Georgia. February 28, 1923.[[S. 2853](/us/bill/67/s/2853).][[Private, No. 200](/us/pvtl/67/200).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the sum of Camp Benning, Ga.Payment to persons for damages arising from proceedings for condemning land for.$49,901, or so much thereof as may be necessary, be, and the same is hereby, appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, The Secretary of the Treasury is hereby directed to pay out the same to such persons as the Secretary of War may designate, who were damaged by circumstances arising out of proceeding for the condemnation of certain lands near Camp Benning, Georgia, and in such amounts as the Secretary of War may determine, including claims of John T.
Davis and the W. C. Bradley Company for losses suffered by reason of inability of these parties to remove their improvements from lands transferred by deed to the United States although expressly granted such right of removal by the prior contracts of sale. Approved, February 28, 1923.
