CHAP. 120.— Joint Resolution Authorizing the purchase of land for cemeteries for American military dead in Europe and the improvement thereof. April 1, 1922.[[H. J. Res. 263](/us/bill/67/hjres/263).][[Pub. Res., No. 44](/us/pl/67/44).] Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the. United States of America in Congress assembled, Cemeteries in Europe.Expenditures authorised for American military dead in.Vol. 41, p. 1386.*Post*, p. 1162. That the Secretary of War be, and he is hereby, authorized to expend not to exceed $856,680 of the appropriation;
“Disposition of remains of officers, soldiers, and civilian employees,” m the Act making appropriations for sundry civil expenses of the Government for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1922, and for other purposes, approved March 4, 1921, for purchase of such real estate as is necessary to establish suitable burial places in Europe for American military dead, and for suitable and necessary improvements thereon, of which not to exceed $111,000 may beLocalities. applied to the purchase of land as follows:
AisneMarne, $20,000; Suresnes, $9,000; Somme, $11,000; Brookwood, $31,000; Saint Mihiel, $15,000; OiseAisne, $20,000; Flanders Field, $5,000; total, $111,000. Approved, April 1, 1922.
