R. 12469](/us/bill/66/hr/12469).][[Private, No. 86](/us/pvtl/66/86).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Robert Edward Cox, Chief Gunner, Navy.Awarded medal of honor That the President of the United States be, and he is hereby, authorized to award a medal of honor to Chief Gunner Robert Edward Cox, United States Navy, in 1527recognition of the extraordinary heroism he displayed on the occasion *Post*, p. 1642.of the accident which occurred in the after turret of the United Slates ship Missouri on April 13, 1904.
Received by the President, January 20, 1921. [Note by the Department of State.—The foregoing act having been presented to the President of the United States for his approval, and not having been returned by him to the house of Congress in which it originated within the time prescribed by the Constitution of the United States, has become a law without his approval.]
