CHAP. 3.— Joint Resolution Authorizing the Secretary of War to loan to the city of Dawson, Georgia, tents and cots for use of Confederate veterans in their State convention, June 17 and 18, 1919. June 17, 1919. [[H. J. Res. 79](/us/bill/66/hjres/79).] [[Pub. Res., No. 1](/us/bill/66/pubres/1).] *Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That the Secretary of War Confederate veterans.Loan of tents, etc., for State convention, Dawson, Ga.be, and he is authorized to loan, at his discretion, to the city of Dawson, Georgia, for the use of Confederate veterans in their State *Provisos.*No expense authorized.convention, to be held at Dawson on June 17 and 18, 1919, fifty tents and two hundred cots: *Provided,* That no expense shall be caused the United States Government by the delivery and return of said property, the same to be delivered to said city designated, at such time prior to the holding of said encampment as may be agreed upon by the Secretary of War and the mayor of said city: *Provided further,* Bond required.That the Secretary of War, before delivering said tents and cots, shall take from the mayor of said city a good and sufficient bond for the safe return of said property in good order and condition, and the whole without expense to the United States.
