CHAP. 243.— An Act To amend section 3 of an Act entitled “An Act to regulate the immigration of aliens to, and the residence of aliens in, the United States,” approved February 5, 1917. June 5, 1920. [[S. 3566](/us/bill/66/s/3566).] [[Public, No. 254](/us/pl/66/254).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * Immigration Act, 1917.Vol. 39, p. 878, amended. That section 3 of an Act entitled “An Act to regulate the immigration of aliens to, and the residence of aliens in, the United States,” approved February 5, 1917, is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof the following:
" *“Provided further, *That an alien who can not read may, if otherwise admissible, be admitted if, within five years after this Act becomes law, a citizen of the United States who lias served in the military or naval forces of the United States during the war with the Imperial German Government, requests that such alien be admitted, and with the approval of the Secretary of Labor, marries such alien at a United States immigration station.
